For instance, swimming for high intensity cardio can really help you burn a lot of calories and improve your overall fitness level. If you focus on doing thirty-minute sessions three times a week, you'll see big results in no time. The same holds true for doing strength training for at least thirty minutes three times a week.

However, if you need to find a way to increase your stamina, you can do that too. Swimming requires a lot of swimming heart in order to work out all the muscles in your body. That means you need to work those muscles hard and frequently. However, swimming for high intensity cardio will help you drop pounds in a hurry!

Of course, if you are trying to lose weight, you will also need to eat fewer calories than you burn during your workout. If you combine cardiovascular fitness and swimming, you will greatly improve your chances of losing weight! At the very least, swimming alone will help you improve your cardiovascular fitness and burn off extra calories. With the combination of the two, you can see even greater results. In the end, it is a matter of how much energy you are burning and how many extra calories you are taking in - not how many calories you consume.
